McFarlane's living landfill "The Heap" is a reinvention and redesign of the classic Golden Age (1942) character who first appeared in Hillman Periodicals 'Airboy'. Originally inspired by Theodore Sturgeon's "It!" The Heap would go on to influence the creation of DC Comics' Swamp Thing and Marvel's Man-Thing. Now this behemoth walking path of destruction, dirt and waste lives again, through the modern artwork of Greg Capullo and the artisans of McFarlane Toys. Driven by the hunger for the emotions of pain and suffering, The Heap has a face only a mother could love…and you don’t want to meet the mother.
Classic Spawn Series 12 (1998) The Heap 6" scale figure, first release, double variant (stickers over misprint error on the back--later editions had a printed correction), white eyes and superior sludge brown paint variation--not the common necroplasm green variant. Old store stock, new factory sealed in package. Features include: Jaw drops open to spew out garbage; Waist, elbows and wrists rotate.
Condition: Standard wear, starting to separate at the blister top from weight of this massive monster big enough to take on The Hulk. [A little glue should fix that]. Blister does show some wear. Displays nicely in a carded collection.
