The late Heath Ledger may have owned the Bat-Box Office this past Summer but in 1989 it was all about "Jack". What better way to mark the release of "The Dark Knight" and commemorate the 20th anniversary of this landmark film! Own these official release figures NO KNOCK-OFFS from the smash hit movie that single handedly re-vamped the Batman franchise, jumpstarted the careers of actor Michael Keaton and director Tim Burton, and forever changed the face of The Joker with Jack Nicholson's unforgettable dark turn as "The Clown Prince of Crime".

This set includes the EXTREMELY RARE and most sought after variant of the entire first series of DC Super Heroes Post Super Powers 1989 Toybiz. Modeled after Mego and the classic DC Kenner Super Powers line, this series brought new characters never released under the Super Powers banner. Some figures even used international release molds, giving U.S. collectors their first chance to obtain these unique figures. Early prototypes used repainted Super Powers figures as shown on the cardbacks. This is all of course ancient history as these figures are now 20 years old and highly desirable film collectibles.
CONDITION AND OTHER NOTES:
Amazing condition for age. Bright, colorful card art. Clear blister bubbles. Carefully stored away from light and smoke for nearly 20 years and still display like new in any mint on card collection. Minor card wear is to be expected. Any look of fading or yellowing is due to camera glare and/or lighting. Additional pictures have been added to attempt a closer representation, but the figures are far better in person than pictures could do justice.
You will NOT find a nicer set, especially one including the elusive BATMAN VARIANT, almost IMPOSSIBLE to find. The figures themselves are MINT flawless condition, no signs of joint looseness, paint wear or yellowing--including Joker's face.
The Joker : sealed mint on unpunched flat card, small dent in the plastic tray bottom and very slight curve to the card. Accessories: squirting orchid lapel, hat, cane and bellows. Bob the Joker's Goon : lays flat, very slight curve to card and very small, hardly noticeable tear forming near card top. Figure has "power kick" action and gun, knife and hat accessories.
RAREST of all - Movie Edition Batman figure with Square Jaw face variant (looks a lot more classic Batman than the regular far more common baby face and Michael Keaton versions) on UNPUNCHED CARD FLAT with very small, barely noticeable, crease veins in the cards top corner. Accessories include retractable batrope hidden inside utility belt, bat-spear gun and batarang.
This is THE hardest to find Batman variant of ALL.
