'The Prisoner' television's first masterpiece, first hit airwaves in 1967, unleashing series creator, writer, director and star, Patrick Mcgoohan's vision on the world. The mind-warping British drama defied easy description; part spy-drama, part paranoid sci-fi thriller, and part modern day parable. A biting social commentary on loss of privacy in an increasingly mechanized world where people are viewed only as numbers. The series was bold, experimental, full of colorful splendor and above all groundbreaking.

Wandering Planet Toys x ITV Studios (2021) presents the first ever officially licensed action figure and collectibles line based on this cult classic TV series, available only through Kickstarter. Age: 14+ years. Launching the collection, the Arrival Edition figure commemorates the series premiere episode where the main character, known as Number 6, first arrives at the beautiful little Village that is to become his prison. The figure is dressed in the button up shirt and black jacket McGoohan wears at the beginning of Arrival and in the opening credits. Thwarting his every attempt to escape is the ever watchful, mysterious "Rover". Though it might at first seem to be a simple innocent bouncy ball, its true purpose is a watchdog, a terrifying instrument of control, capable of consuming its captors in its latex skin, trapping them in a suspended animation until directed to return them back from the Outer Zone and to the Village. Lastly, a complete and uncut VHS collection set #2, digitally remastered, stars Patrick McGoohan (of Danger Man fame).

The surreal psychological experience that is The Prisoner skillfully mixes elements of sci-fi, mystery, comedy and action to riveting effect on viewers when it first aired in 1967 and was quite unlike anything that had ever before appeared on television -- And this from the same country that created the incredibly imaginative Doctor Who series just a few years before...that's really saying something! McGoohan once said the purpose of this bizarre allegorical conundrum was to create a feeling of unrest about life today. An abstract impression of the world and a warning of what would happen when gadgetry and gimmickry take over from creative people. An idea which is as timeless and relevant now as when it was first broadcast, The Prisoner has come out of the vault to speak to a new generation!

Set #2 of this out of print series includes four favorite episodes, chosen by the fans, in their full-length, complete color-restored glory on 3 VHS video tapes, with a total runtime of approx. 208 mins.
