The beloved 1974 animated children's holiday classic from Rankin/Bass (the studios that brought you Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, The Hobbit and Thundercats), sequel to the 1970s Santa Claus is Coming to Town, comes to life in this holiday collectible figure set. Includes Snow Miser, Civilian Santa Claus, Jangle Elf, Two Snow Miser Helpers, Toy Pink Elephant and Toy Zebra with detailed character-accurate accessories.

Produced in very low numbers, YWASC was largely overlooked and became one of Palisades Toys' lowest produced lines ever. Only after release and word of mouth spread did demand grow. By then with no more sets to ship and the season almost over, secondary market prices took hold. Now Palisades is out of business, these exclusive figures will never be available again! Together with Jim Henson's Muppets Show, this was truly some of the finest product by the company. Highly treasured by collectors worldwide for years to come.

Sparkly eyed Mrs. Claus (voiced by Shirley Booth) sings and tells about the year her hubby felt too weary and unappreciated to prepare for his annual Christmas rounds. Mickey Rooney voices Santa, a rosy-nosed puppet who travels incognito to Southtown in search of his tiniest reindeer, Vixen, and two well-meaning elves. Mrs. Claus sent them to find proof of Christmas spirit--but all they've discovered is ambivalence about Santa's year off. Luckily, when Santa arrives and befriends a buck-toothed lad named Ignatius Thistlewhite, spirits begin to lift rapidly. Adults will remember it as the Heat and Snow Miser movie. Their vaudevillian theme songs, complete with trombone and piano riffs, are hard to forget, but other treasured musical moments include "I Believe in Santa Claus," "I'll Have a Blue Christmas Without You," and "Here Comes Santa Claus."
